Introduction

Blockchain.com were looking to expand the use of their platform with new brand positioning, strategy and product messaging. Through stakeholder and user research we identified the need to ‘cross the gap’, and move product and brand appeal past early tech adopters, to capture early majority.

This insight, combined with a clearly identified demographic [male, 20-45, educated, retail investor, think redditor] lead us to look for spicy ways to message a financial brand and product. Our approach looked to position Blockchain.com’s products as an update to traditional investment vehicles and brands; think Fidelity for crypto.

There were a couple of creative variations that weren’t used in the end. See below. We landed on a great tag-line; ‘Go Unbank Yourself’. Impactful, eye-catching and thought-provoking, perfect for a technology that will heavily disrupt the banking status quo.
